Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 4, 2026
Chamber for AI (“Chamber for AI“, “we“, “us“, or “our“) operates the website at chamberforai.com and the AI authority directory described there (the “Service“). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
Chamber for AI is a U.S.-based business directory that helps companies be discovered when consumers query AI assistants. You can reach us at info@chamberforai.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: business name, contact name, email address, password (stored hashed), and the city/state of the business.
- Listing information: business description, website, phone, address, hours, services, photos, and any other content you publish to your listing.
- Payment information: when you upgrade to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number, CVV, or bank account details. We receive a transaction reference, the last four digits, the brand, and the billing email.
- Usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps. This is collected automatically through standard server logs and cookies.
- Communications: messages you send to us (for example, support emails) and our replies.
3. How we use information
- To create and operate your account and your listing.
- To process payments, send invoices, and manage subscriptions.
- To make your listing discoverable to AI assistants, search engines, and visitors of the site.
- To send transactional email (account verification, password reset, billing notices, listing status).
- To improve the Service, troubleshoot bugs, and protect against fraud and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us run the Service (hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics) and who are bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms.
- AI assistants and search engines, but only the public listing data you publish (business name, description, services, location, hours, links). Your account email and password are never shared.
- Legal authorities when we are required to comply with a valid subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
- A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to you.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure traffic, and detect abuse. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Service (notably login) will not work without them. We honor browser “Do Not Track” signals where required by law.
6. Data retention
We retain account and listing data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with tax, legal, and accounting obligations (typically up to 7 years for billing records). You can request deletion at any time (see Section 8).
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards: HTTPS for all traffic, hashed passwords, restricted internal access, and Stripe-hosted card entry. No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your account and personal information (subject to legal retention obligations).
- Export your information in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@chamberforai.com. We will respond within 30 days.
9. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, the right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Contact info@chamberforai.com to make a request.
10. European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland
If you are located in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, the legal bases for our processing are: (a) performance of a contract with you, (b) compliance with a legal obligation, (c) our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the Service, and (d) your consent where required. Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States; where required, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
11. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please email us so we can delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on the site.
